The link above will send you to a stop motion video of drawings on a chalkboard that I did while collaborating with other artists. I collaborated with some fellow classmates named McKenna, Christian and Victor. We collaborated by each doing a certain job while creating the stop motion video. Christian did some picture taking and drawing, Victor took some pictures and came up with some of the ideas, McKenna took most of the pictures, and did a little bit of writing, and I did the majority of the picture drawing/writing, and took a few pictures. Therefore, my group and I collaborated a lot, which was actually necessary.
This was a very original piece, as my group and I came up with things as we went along. By doing so it is a very creative piece, and one that I enjoyed. We went from a bouncing ball, to a sinking ship, to a jellyfish, showing our overall creativity. So I believe that our stop motion is totally original, as there is not another one like it.
While working on this piece, I developed new art skills, as I was constantly drawing, erasing, and redrawing the same things a few centimeters away from the old spot. This was a very tiring dead, but in the end, it was worth it as the final product looks nice. Also when holding the camera, a steady hand is needed, as the pictures need to match up in location, which was also very difficult to me. Therefore, not only was I collaborating in this unit, I was also solving problems, as I had never made a stop motion before, but i'm glad that I did it, as it turned out wonderfully.
